This state-of-the-art auditorium at the new MC2 Airport has been designed as a multipurpose venue. Audiovisual presentations, lectures, seminars, international conferences, conventions with multi-lingual translation and voting and even national day celebrations were in scope.
LC Acoustics scope included 3D acoustic modeling, acoustic and noise control design, audiovisual design, stage lighting system design, Interpretation and multi-node conferencing system design. Uniquely shaped architectural design posed unprecedented challenges in achieving the desired speech intelligibility and room response essential for extended dynamic range performance. LC Acoustics worked with project managers to develop acoustical treatment that blended with ID features. State-of-the-art audiovisual system has been designed with control system that seamlessly integrates all subsystems with easiest user interface.

Thank you for sharing this fascinating topic. The acoustic design of Muscat Airport demonstrates how careful planning and engineering can enhance passenger comfort, operational efficiency, and the overall travel experience. It also highlights the importance of integrating technical excellence with public infrastructure objectives to deliver high-quality services that meet international standards. These considerations are closely relevant to the executive seminar & course in public sector governance in Muscat, Oman, where participants explore infrastructure governance, project oversight, and policy frameworks that support the successful delivery of complex public sector initiatives.
